Important Notice:
Most FRS or GMRS Radios should be able
to receive updates along the trot route.
Only licensed GMRS operators with the proper
radio that has repeater capability will be able
to provide trot updates using the repeater.
Updates are actual conversations between GMRS
licensed family members discussing the trot.
All other FMS and GMRS channels can be used
according to FCC rules but this repeater will
provide extended coverage along the complete
trot route. The strongest signal can be expected
midway along the route. Start and Finish point
communications can be expected.
Please limit
communications to brief updates
for all of us to enjoy the event, otherwise
repeater limitations may be used.
Experienced GMRS programmers may want
to pre-program tone 77.0 just in case we
need to restrict access. Let's hope not.
Fun being a crow in the heights.
If you have a family member in
the area that
is not able to attend the trot, loan them
a radio for channel 15 so they may be able
to join the excitement. We want our city
children involved in the first time ever
Cawing experiment-experience
