In the Gospel of John chapter 2...
Jesus has just begin his adult earthly ministry.
He had been invited to a wedding.
His mother Mary was there, overseeing the activities.
An unforeseeable situation arose with the wine.
Like any mother,  knowing well her own adult child...
makes the most profound statement in all of scripture.
John 2   verse 2
"Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it."

In the Gospel of Mathew chapter 22...
Jesus was asked about things in the future.
He answered with a parable.
How a father overseeing an adult child's wedding...
Like Mary, also encountered a unforeseeable situation.
Those invited turned down the father's invitation to come.
The father responded in verse 9 of Mathew chapter 22
with an equally profound statement in all of scripture.
"Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many
   as ye shall find, bid to the marriage."

To you Austin, and to you Meghan
Invite Jesus  into your marriage.
Obey Him. Whatsoever he saith, do it.
Likewise, in turn..
Accept the heavenly fathers invitation into your future
Overcome unforeseeable situations.

 ⁵His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

John 2: 2   "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it."

Matthew 22
 ¹And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
 ²The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
 ³And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
 ⁴Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner:
   my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
 ⁵But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
 ⁶And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
 ⁷But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers,
   and burned up their city.
 ⁸Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
 ⁹Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

Matt. 22:4b "...all things are ready: come..."

Matt. 22:9 "Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage."
